Enrolling in TSA PreCheck has become more accessible as biometric service provider CLEAR has added several new enrollment locations at airports across the U.S.
CLEAR, authorized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a TSA PreCheck enrollment provider, will now allow passengers to enroll or renew their memberships at seven more airports, including:
- Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
- Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE)
- John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH)
- Kansas City International Airport (MCI)
- Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)
- Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)
- Tulsa International Airport (TUL)
The complete list of the 40 participating airports in which passengers can enroll in CLEAR, along with its enrollment hours, can be found here.
Travelers can enroll without an appointment, significantly reducing the wait times that previously slowed the application process. Applicants need to bring their passport or another approved form of identification to complete the enrollment with a CLEAR representative.
"TSA PreCheck with enrollment by CLEAR provides a fast and efficient airport experience," said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. "This is a win-win for U.S. travelers who will have access to more enrollment locations, expanded hours and other benefits."
After enrolling, travelers can choose to apply for TSA PreCheck for a one-time fee of $77.95 or bundle it with a CLEAR Plus membership for $199.95. The CLEAR membership renews annually at $189, granting access to dedicated security lanes where travelers can be identified using biometric fingerprints or eye scans.
