One Month until this year’s Jimmy Fund Walk!

The Atlas Travel Flyers team has made great strides towards our Jimmy Fund donation goal of $10,000! With just about a month left until Walk day, we’re continuing to ramp up our momentum:

Firstly, we’d like to recognize our corporate partners who have made generous donations to the Flyers team. A big thank you to Amadeus, Enterprise Holdings (National Rental Car), and Boneheads Wing Bar! We’re immensely grateful for your support.

As of this month, Atlas Travel Flyer team members have raised over $3,000 in donations; our employee-generated cookbook has produced nearly $400 in sales, with copies still available for purchase. When partner contributions are included to this tally, our current total more than doubles. We are immensely grateful for your support, and we will wear our partner’s corporate logos with pride during the Jimmy Fund Walk.

If your company is interested in becoming one of our sponsors please reach out to Colleen Brescia, the Atlas Travel Flyer’s team captain, and we will add your company logo to our team t-shirts. As an additional courtesy/benefit to our clients without a corporate team participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk, we invite any of your interested employees to walk with us! Interested individuals and sign up through our team page.

Our Hero

This year our team is walking in honor of a Hero, a current patient at the Dana Farber Institute. Our hero, Ava, is a seven-year-old Massachusetts local battling leukemia.

For Ava, a seemingly normal day at soccer turned into a life-changing moment, and a simple doctor’s visit morphed into an initial seven-week stay at Children’s Hospital. Throughout her treatment, Ava has been the picture of resilience, strength, and positivity. Despite pain and fatigue, she still plays soccer, the sport she loves; she also regularly hones her cooking skills, even mastering her family’s recipe for chicken cutlets!

We are honored to be walking for Ava, as well as for all our friends and family who have been impacted by cancer. It is the thought of them, and a future without cancer, that will inspire our efforts during this final month.
