So you have Bermuda on your mind? Good choice! Whether you are hoping to hop over there last minute, or vacation there next year – Bermuda is one of the easiest islands to travel to. The tiny tropical gem of Bermuda is very tropical indeed – a superb surprise given that it is only a mere 640 miles off the Atlantic coast of the United States. That translates into one very short flight from major cities along the east coast, or a short cruise of only one day at sea from Boston, New York, or New Jersey. It doesn’t matter how one travels to Bermuda – one will definitely be charmed and amazed at the lush topicality of this island.

Bermuda oozes luxury – from the spiffy downtown shopping area to the pastel buildings with sienna tiled roofs. The beaches are really of a pinkish hue and the surrounding waters are a clear azure blue. There is something for every traveler in Bermuda – golf, tennis, watersports, fishing charters, sightseeing tours, beachcombing and of course gourmet dining. The people of this island nation are incredibly polite, warm, and welcoming. They greet visitors from all over the world with open arms and welcoming smiles. Bermuda’s infrastructure is second to none with an excellent road system, numerous buses, taxis and motorbikes to get visitors wherever they want to go. A word to the wise, if you choose to rent a motorbike, remember this is a British island and traffic patterns are very different from the United States.

Accommodations available range from the simplest to the most sublime, indeed, some of the most famous and beautiful hotels in the world are in Bermuda.

If you choose to cruise to Bermuda, there are a number of cruise lines which sail from various points in the United States. Bermuda only cruises are generally 5 to 9 days long, but there are also offerings which combine Bermuda with other various islands.

Although many consider Bermuda to be in the Caribbean, it is really in the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore, peak season to go to Bermuda is April through October. This is when all the watersports are available. Off-season here is just perfect for a golfing holiday, with first class courses scattered all over the island.

Bermuda is incredibly popular with honeymooners – couples bond for life here and often return annually to celebrate their special day. It has a romantic vibe, with al fresco dining amidst the beauty of striking sunsets and romantic night falls. Bermuda truly is a welcome haven for all visitors – a perfect destination to slow down, recharge, and immerse oneself in the good life. Singles, couples, and families alike will appreciate all that Bermuda has to offer. You cannot fail if you choose Bermuda for your next vacation.
